After a lot of debate and viewing of potential places for our reception, we finally settled on The Four Seasons Suite at The Galgorm Resort & Spa. No matter where we looked at, my heart fell in love with this place and nothing compared to it. So a few signatures and a deposit later, that was it, the reception was ours.

We arrived to a drinks reception where we could either have a Mojito (Adams choice of cocktail) or a glass of dressed Pimms (my choice) – these went down a treat with our guests. While guests were enjoying their drinks, we were off getting photographs taken (when it wasn’t raining!) this was so much fun. Adam and Grace our photographers were an absolute joy to work with. They made us feel so relaxed and at ease, helping us get those perfect pictures that don’t looked forced. We dodged in and out of the rain so many times that day to get photographs taken, exploring the grounds to have different backgrounds for our photos.

A few speeches later it was time for us to dance the night away. The song we choose for our first dance was ‘Thinking out Loud’ by Ed Sheeran. I absolutely loved this song and still do of course. It will always have a special place in my heart. We choose to have both a live band and a DJ at our reception and it was great, all the guests loved the songs and were up for a good dance.

I can’t believe we’ve already celebrated our first wedding anniversary!
